Robert Hamerly, Energy Efficiency Specialist

Robert has been in the construction trades since he was 15 years old. He founded GreenSavers in 2007 after seeing their was a lack of specialists in the area offering residents the complete package of energy efficiency testing and upgrading of the home to be more energy efficient. His vision was to offer Oregon residents a
"one-stop-shop" solution for home performance contracting and energy efficient upgrades. Robert is an Oregon licensed general contractor and certified Home Performance Contractor with the Energy Trust of Oregon. He is certified by Building Performance Institute to inspect and upgrade homes as well as assess the heating and cooling systems in the home. Robert completed the H.E.R.S Training Certification and is certified through ENERGY STAR ® to retrofit Manufactured Homes. Robert is PTCS Duct Sealing Certifed and EPA Certified Renovator. Robert sits on the Board of Directors for the Home Performance Contractors Guild of Oregon. He is passionate about making sure the Home Performance industry flourishes and is a self sustaining industry long after government subsidies expire.
 
Robert is an avid skier, mountain biker and lover of the outdoors. Central Oregon’s year round outdoor opportunities lured Robert away from his previous business, municipal green waste composting were he operated a 19-acre Green Waste Recycling plant in Oxnard California.

David Bowman, Energy Efficiency Specialist

David is part of the Green Savers Home Performance team in Central Oregon, responsible for energy audits, energy efficiency retrofits and customer coordination.
"Dave" prides himself on exceptional customer service, completing quality energy efficiency upgrades and saving customers money on their utility bills. Dave is a graduate of the National Sustainable Building Advisor program approved by the US Green Building Council in partnership with the Cascadia Sustainability Academy. In addition, he has his BPI Home Performance Building Analyst & Envelope Certification, BPI Heating and Cooling Professional Certification and is PTCS Duct Sealing Certified. Dave is an EPA Certified Renovator. Originally from the East Coast, Dave moved to Central Oregon for his love of the Northwest and what Central Oregon has to offer. He has been in the construction industry for 30 years and loves to spend his free time enjoying the local running, mountain biking, and Nordic trails.

David is part of the Green Savers Home Performance Team in Portland. David is responsible for home energy audits, energy efficiency retrofits and managing customer coordination. David will work with you to help you achieve your energy efficiency goals. With a degree in architecture and over twelve years experience working in architectural firms focusing on residential and commercial projects, David possesses extensive knowledge in home evaluation and construction. He has over twenty years experience in the building industry, is LEED AP certified and earned his BPI Building Analyst & Envelope Certification. David is originally from New York. Although he sometimes misses snowy winters, he loves working in Portland because of its people, its “green” culture and its focus on sustainability.

Kendra Van Note, Community Outreach & Education Director 

Kendra Cropped GS photo1.jpgKendra is responsible for community outreach and education for the GreenSavers team. Kendra brings over a decade of experience in business development, management and sales. Kendra is committed to delivering the Green Savers message and services to all Oregon residents. She is also focused on educating the community, real estate agents, students, government entities and fellow Trade Allies energy efficiency, sustainable living and the importance of being green minded.  She is an active member of the Building Green Council of Central Oregon and sits on both the PR Committee and Philanthropic Committee. Kendra was instrumental in creating and organizing Central Oregon Builders Associations annual Green Beginnings: Mentoring & Job Shadow Day with the Heart of Oregon Youth Build Program. An invaluable community program Kendra has expanded to now include the Portland YouthBuilders and local Portland Home Performance contractors. Kendra enjoys snowboarding, surfing, hiking and spending time with her husband, son, new baby girl, dog and two free range chickens.

Andrea handles the administrative aspects of Green Savers. She insures GreenSavers customer's receive their well deserved and correct energy efficiency upgrade cash incentives and applicable State and Federal tax credits.  Andrea is a bookkeeper by trade and is excited to learn more about the world and profession of energy efficiency. Originally from Washington State, she has lived in Central Oregon for 26 years. Andrea is happily married and has two grown children.

Ismael joined the GreenSavers Home Performance Portland team in Spring 2010 and is force to be reckoned with when it comes to quality, efficient and timely energy efficient installs. GreenSavers is fortunate to have such a skilled and experienced technician on our team. 
Ismael spends the majority of this time under houses and in attics ensuring insulation is installed precisely, ducts are sealed and air leaks are plugged. Ismael’s
work increases the comfort and efficiency of our customer's homes. Ismael is an EPA Certified Renovator.

Javier joined the GreenSavers Home Performance Portland team in June 2010. Javier comes to GreenSavers with over ten years experience with the largest insulation company in the Pacific Northwest.  He will be helping our energy conscious customers stay cool in the summer and comfortable in the winter. His past insulation experience adds to our teams ability to deliver top notch installations and save our customers money on their utility bills.   Javier will be plugging all those nasty air leaks to stop warm air from escaping in the winter and cool air from leaving in the summer. Javier and his family live in Southeast Portland.

Abel Hernandez, Energy Efficiency Technician 
Abel is one of our top installers and works closely with Dave Bowman in Central Oregon to ensure our customer's homes are sealed, insulated and comfortable. Our customers will be pleased with Abel's warm and friendly personality.  GreenSavers is lucky to have such a skilled and dedicated team member who is willing to spend long and dusty hours in the creepy crawly spaces of our customer's homes. After Abel's hard work our customers always comment on the noticeable improvement to their home's temperature and comfort.   Abel has been trained by Energy Trust on prescriptive duct sealing. He will bring this training and expertise to our customers who qualify for this free Energy Trust program.

Ricardo RuizDuran, HVAC Efficiency Technician 
Ricardo recently joined the GreenSavers Portland Home Performance Team as our HVAC Efficiency Technician. Ricardo, originally from San Diego, has over a decade of HVAC installation experience in both the residential and commercial arena. Ricardo will be installing, testing and ensuring our heating and cooling installs are done to the highest NATE standards. If your furnace is on the fritz or your heat pump on its last leg, Ricardo will be able to create a workable and affordable solution for maximizing comfort and efficiency for our GreenSavers customers.
